ISLAMABAD: Energy Minister Musadik Malik on Tuesday promised to ensure electricity and gas supply during Sehar and Iftar. Expressing his thoughts in Islamabad, Malik said, “The highest priority of the government is to facilitate the masses.” Malik said, “Despite severe hardships, the government is trying to think of the masses.
He said: “Work has begun on a sustainable solution to circular debt.” Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal said on Tuesday that the positive criticism should be welcomed. Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Iqbal said, “The opposition has virtually accepted the results of the general elections that were to be held on February 8.

“The prime minister emphasized the need to lower electricity and gas prices,” he added. Iqbal decided to reduce government spending by adopting austerity measures. He stated, “We have initiated development projects in the past as well, but due to political instability, the projects were not completed.
