Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah chaired a meeting held in December 2024 to launch an inclusive city for people of all abilities.
The city will have all the opportunities for people of all abilities to play.
The meeting was held at CM House and was attended by Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah, PSCM Agha Wasif, Secretary Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Tauha Farooqui and others.
Shah said that the inclusive city will be created by companies that will be registered under the Companies Act, 2017. This inclusive city mega project is built on 80 hectares of reclaimed land from the Malir Expressway project. The project will have a comprehensive school / Special Education and Rehabilitation Complex / Vocational Training Center / C-ARTS facility on 15 hectares of land. General Hospital / Neuropsychiatry Ward / Institute of Clinical Psychology in 15 hectares. Five acres of handicap accessible housing, a 40-acre children’s park, and a five-acre DEPD office complex. Mirat Ali Shah ordered the DEPD to register the first clerk and yesterday he will start work in December, after which the work of establishing the village will begin on a war footing.
