Mr. and Mrs. Mahi Movie Story Review:
Nihil Mehrotra and Sharan Sharma’s story has potential. We’ve seen movies of people who fail to coach aspiring players. But here is the coach, and it gives a new impression. Nihil Mehrotra and Sharan Sharma’s screenplay is smooth. The first half is full of emotion and humor. But there are some gaps in the writing. Nehil Mehrotra and Sharan Sharma’s dialogues are well spoken for most of the film.
Sharan Sharma’s direction is impressive. He did a good job with highlights and many scenes like Mahendra’s father Mahima’s father Mahendra and Mahima giving each other a tie showing their love for cricket, Mahendra thanking Mahima for happiness etc. Hotspot beeps. moderate
The post-interval film took a twist and started Mahima’s cricket career. However, the film foreshadows what will happen next. There is also an overdose of sports movies. As a result, the audience will not applaud for the ending. A husband’s jealousy of his wife gives a powerful déjà vu to ABHIMAAN [1973]. In addition, the dialogue throughout the film, which is not great, lacks punch during the two most important scenes at the top. Also, the character of the mother is important, but she is given raw material. Although it adds to the story nicely, it is lost in the last part of the movie.
Mr. and Mrs. Mahi Movie Appearance:
Rajkummar Rao is a natural. There was no mistake in his performance and he did well in the second half. Janhvi Kapoor has proved her worth once again. It’s a physically demanding movie and it’s great. Kumud Mishra can be trusted. Rajesh Sharma is handsome as expected. Zarina Wahab is great but unfortunately she is not there. His character becomes very important in the climax, but is not given to him in the first half and the end. Purnendu Bhattacharya (Mahima’s father) and Iniamini Das (Mahima’s mother) deserve it. Arjit Taneja (Sikandar) is good.
Mr Mahi Music and Other Technical Aspects:
Although Dekhha Tenu is catchy, the music score is not diverse. The stories of ‘Agar Ho Tum’ and ‘Junoon Hain’ are well researched. ‘Roya Jab Tu’ and ‘Tu Hain Toh’ are not included.
John Stewart Edury’s background score is haunting. Anay Om Goswami’s cinematography is spot on. Sharanya Meno’s production design is realistic. Anaita Shroff Adajania and Varsha-Shilpa’s outfits are straight from life. Nitin Baid’s editing is satisfactory but could have been looser in places.
Mr. and Mrs. Mahi Movie Results:
Overall, Mr. & Mrs. MAHI’s USP is the show, the plot, and the plot and plot point, which is worth applauding. However, the second half is predictable and coincides with the time when viewers are tired of sports movies. However, Cinema is set to open well thanks to its Valentine’s Day offer. Positive word of mouth should help the film do well at the box office.
