LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said on Tuesday that the Punjab government is trying to expand the scope of field hospitals and clinics on wheels across Punjab.
Punjab CM met senior MPA Saeed Akbar Khan Nawani. During the meeting, the duo discussed the development projects in Punjab as well as other issues faced by the people.
MPA Nawani lauded the CM for successfully implementing development programs during her first 100 days in government and added that the performance of the Punjab government is worth emulating in other provinces because of its people-friendly policies.
Expressing her desire to expand the reach of field hospitals and clinics on wheels, Maryam said the government would bring 500 more field hospitals on the roads to help people and hoped that Thalassemia centers would be set up in all district headquarters hospitals in Punjab.
She further said that the services will be provided 24/7 at the primary health units across Punjab, adding that anaesthetists, paediatricians and cardiologists will visit these hospitals on a weekly basis.
