SWAT: The Vice Chancellor, The University Agriculture Swat , Prof Dr Dawood Jan, planted a tree in the University of Agriculture, Swat main campus in Mingora to start off the “Monsoon Plantation Drive” in accordance with the Green Growth Strategy Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The VC underlined the significance of trees in effectively tackling the climate change issue. The VC stressed that we must all work together to save, restore and manage our environment to combat this global issue. In addition to the academic pursuits, the VC encouraged the faculty members, administrative staff and students to get involved in extracurricular activities. Keeping in view the key benefits of trees, the VC also appealed for cooperation in order to guarantee sustainable national growth. Along with other faculty members, students, and staff, the initiative was spearheaded by Dr. Roshan Ali (Director ARI), Prof. Dr. Farman Ullah, Prof. Dr. Jamal Khan, Prof. Dr. Hidayat ur Rahman, Prof. Dr. Noor al Amin, Mr. Akbar Khan (Advisor Establishment & Finance), Deputy Registrar Dr. Ibrar ul Haq, and Mr. Shah Saud Coordinator Outreach.
