Mardan: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Food Zahir Shah Toru said that there would be no delay in solving the problems of the citizens. People have reposed faith in PTI, and their trust will not be harmed in any way. Providing basic necessities like sanitation and safe drinking water to the citizens is our top priority. Under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa City Improvement Project a modern sewerage treatment plant will be constructed. Sewerage network in Union Council Rorya is completed and in Muslimabad sewerage network will be completed soon. He expressed these views while addressing a Khuli Kacheri at Guli Bagh. Chairman of Board of Directors WSSCM Engineer Adil Nawaz, Chairman HR, Nomination and Procurement Committee Haroon Rashid, General Manager Engineer Imran Zaman, Manager Municipal Services Engineer Khalil Akbar, Manager HR and Admin Rahatullah, Deputy Manager Municipal Services Muhammad Ishaq, Resident Engineer PMCSC Arshad Qayyum Babar, Deputy Manager Matracon Engineer Qasim Mumtaz Awan, Social Mobilizer Sajjad Ahmed and others participated. On the occasion, the citizens presented their problems regarding sanitation, drainage, and the sewerage treatment plant to the provincial minister and the concerned authorities. Provincial Food Minister Zahir Shah Toru directed the concerned authorities to solve the problems of the citizens on priority basis. Speaking on the occasion, Food Minister Zahir Shah Toru and Chairman of the WSSCM Board Engineer Adil Nawaz stated that the provincial government is trying to improve the living standards of the citizens. The construction of the sewage treatment plant will reduce the health and sanitation problems. They also directed the contractor to speed up the construction work on STP.
The STP is being built on seventeen acres of land and it will treat six million gallons of wastewater on a daily basis through activated sludge processes and the water will be use for irrigation purpose. They added.
