MARDAN: Member of the National Assembly ( MNA) Mujahid Khan has said that payment of Zakat is the purification of wealth. The wealthy class of the country should pay Zakat regularly from their wealth so that even the poor sections of the society can easily lead a better life. He expressed these views while addressing the oath-taking ceremony of Malik Jahanzeb, Chairman of District Ushr and Zakat Committee and other officials. On this occasion, Imtiaz Khan, Provincial Chairman of Ushr and Zakat Committee administered the oath of office to the newly elected chairman and members. MPA Iftikhar Ali Mashwani, Acting Deputy Commissioner Saeedullah Jan, WSSCM Board Chairman Engineer Adil Nawaz, Maulana Muhammad Israel and other also addressed the ceremony.MNA Mujahid Khan said that the provincial government of Tehreek-e-Insaf is trying to provide maximum facilities to the poor. The schemes which were started by Imran Khan as the Prime Minister for the poor have been closed by the current federal government, due to which the poor life has become miserable and tighter. He said that Zakat is the backbone of the society and all the wealthy people of the society should pay Zakat of their property regularly so that our society can develop. In his speech at the ceremony, the newly elected Chairman Malik Jahanzeb announced that he would pay the office expenses from his own pocket and said that he will not hesitate to make any sacrifice to deliver Zakat to the deserving people. Interference of any kind will not be tolerated. He said that the doors of his office are open for everyone at all times.
