Islamabad: Federal Minister of Foreign Pakistani and Human Resources Development, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, met with Ambassador of France in Pakistan, Nicolas Galey to explore ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in key sectors.
During the meeting, Minister Hussain emphasized the invaluable contributions of overseas Pakistani to the national economy and emphasized the importance of further strengthening links between people between Pakistan and France.
He also stressed that Pakistani are doing well in the industries of high demand in France, including hospitality, pharmaceutical, telecommunications, boat construction and building engineering, a press release said on Tuesday.
“We want the French government to help train Pakistani according to the specific requirements of the French labor market. With the equipment of their right skills, we can ensure that they excel in these sectors in work in France, ”said Minister Hussain.
He also added: “Such targeted educational programs would not only deal with the lack of labor in France, but also Pakistanians would provide a safe and legal way to work abroad and prevent the tragic loss of life that many suffered from an illegal immigration route.
The Minister said my vision to provide opportunities for Pakistani to work abroad through legal resources and prevents illegal migration by allowing them to acquire the skills required in foreign labor markets. He stressed that this approach would be the most effective strategy to reduce illegal immigration and protect the lives and dignity of Pakistani citizens.
Gale Ambassador expressed French interest in exploring opportunities for cooperation in the development of human resources in Pakistan, especially in the field of vocational education and training.
He acknowledged the qualified Pakistani workforce and recorded the potential for mutually beneficial partnerships in technology, innovation and other industries.
Minister Hussain also reiterated the government of Pakistani firm obligations to ensure the safety, rights and interests of overseas Pakistani and promised to continue their efforts to guarantee their safe and dignified employment abroad.
He appreciated the continuing French support of Pakistani development initiatives, especially in education and vocational education.
This meeting is considered a key step towards further strengthening Pakistan-France relationships and supporting cooperation in the areas of shared interest.
