ISLAMABAD: Awam Pakistan (AP) Secretary General Miftah Ismail on Tuesday called to reduce its expenditure.
The former finance minister expressed his thoughts and asked the government to provide relief in electricity bills. “There is no need to increase expenditure by Rs 1,400 billion from Rs 700 billion on Public Sector Development Program (PSDP),” he added.

A few days ago on Saturday, former PML-N leaders Miftah Ismail and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi formally launched a new party called “Awaam Pakistan” and said it was “open to all” to join.
Leaders have long discussed the possibility of creating a new political entity to help the country overcome its ongoing crises.
Both Ismail and Abbasi shared a video that featured a series of distraught citizens asking questions about various national issues. The festivities were officially launched on Saturday.
