PESHAWAR: Provincial Minister for Public Health Engineering Pakhtun Yar Khan has said that a network of development projects are being prepared in the province to provide socio-economic development to the people.
He made these remarks while presiding over a meeting to review the progress of ongoing development projects in Dir District at Civil Secretariat Peshawar.
The meeting was attended by Advisor to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sports Fakhar Jahan; Member of the National Assembly Bashir Khan; and provincial assembly members Shafiullah Khan, Azam Khan, Humayun Khan and Obaid ur Rahman.
During the meeting, the staff of the Public Health Department in Dir district informed in detail about the progress of ongoing and new projects.
Pakhtun Yar Khan emphasized that no negligence will be tolerated in this regard in fulfilling the vision of public welfare.
He urged members of the public to be informed about development projects in their areas and monitor their progress.
The provincial minister added that the focus of development projects should be public welfare and contractors who failed to deliver quality work should be identified and blacklisted.
He further added, “Every public representative should have knowledge about development projects in his area because he is the spokesperson of his people.”
Pakhtun Yar Khan urged all public representatives to act honestly and sincerely to ensure timely completion of development projects.
