MADRID: French rising star Kylian Mbappe is preparing for a strong return in the UEFA Champions League clash against Lille. In a surprise turn of events, Real Madrid have named the France captain in the squad to face Lille in a match scheduled for Wednesday. The 25-year-old was previously diagnosed with a biceps femoris injury in his left leg. The French superstar is expected to be out for three weeks, ESPN reported, citing sources, leading him to miss the matches with Lille in the Champions League and Villarreal in La Liga and the international break with France. There was also a 1:1 derby on Sunday at Atlético Madrid. Marca previously reported that the French forward will return against Celta Vigo on October 19. However, the superstar seems to have recovered quickly. With his condition in mind, Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has named the forward in his squad for Monday’s trip to France, where he will face his brother Ethan Mbappe representing Ligue 1 side Lille.
