SWAT: Thousands of people from Tehsil Bahrain came out on the streets ON Friday against the construction of Survey Pakistan, Forest Act, Section Four and Pedo Tunnel in and demanded the government to withdraw the decision while shouting loud slogans.
People from Kalam Valley, Uttror, Mattaltan, Arianai, Pishmal, Laykot, Gabral, Mankyal, Chum Gharai, Kedam, Bahrain, Madyan, Bishigram and the people of the other places participated in the demonstration.
Addressing the protest demonstration, former District councilor Ziaul Haq, former Tehsil nazim Bahrain Habibullah Saqib, former nazim Malik Gul Zada, Malik Umar Faqir, Malik Nawaz Ali, former MPA Syed Jafar Shah, Tehsil chairman Shahid Ali and other speakers said that we will in any case Survey Pakistan does not accept the move to usurp the name of Forest Act and we will go to the last extent against it.
The speakers said that under Survey Pakistan, there is an attempt to seize people’s property and agricultural lands, which we do not accept in any way.
The speakers further said that efforts are being made to implement the Forest Act in Kalam Valley, but the fact is that the forest department is trying to encroach on the demarcation and seize the owned property.
They said that not only the owned property is being bought by applying section four in Kalam itself, but people are also being tried to ban construction work.
“An attempt is being made to destroy the beauty of the river Swat by digging a tunnel from Kedam to Madyan, but we will not accept this initiative of Pedo under any circumstances,” They said.
The speakers said that the occupying mafia and the administration should open their ears and listen that today our protest is peaceful, but if our demands are not accepted and an attempt is made to force them, then they will announce their action plan and refrain from any sacrifice in this regard. will not.
On this occasion, a unanimous resolution was presented that whenever the central and provincial governments start any project, they should first sit with the people of Tehsil Bahrain and take them into confidence. If no action is taken, the people will strongly oppose it and the government institutions will be responsible for all the consequences.
