LAHORE: Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has become more active in addressing inflation and has called for a second meeting within the same week.
The meeting focused on developing a comprehensive strategy to prevent the artificial increase in the price of chicken meat and milk. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has ordered a special campaign to end milk adulteration and reviewed the supply chain mechanism and pricing issues in detail.
The Chief Minister directed the creation of a more effective price monitoring and stabilization system. She emphasized that stakeholders need to work together to improve supply chain performance.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif also emphasized the need to use modern technology to strengthen the supply chain and stabilize prices and described artificial price hikes as intolerable.
Senator Pervez Rashid, Chief Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Chairman Control Task Force Salma Butt, Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Agriculture Minister Iftikhar Suho, Food Secretary Moazzam Supra, Livestock Secretary Masood Anwar, Chief Secretary Sajid Zafar Daal attended the meeting and other officials.
