Khyber: The deceased police constable was laid to rest with full state honors at Jamrud in Khyber district on Monday.
Sub-Inspector Abid Afridi was ambushed by unknown armed men at Jamrud Crossing yesterday evening and embraced Shahadat while two others were injured and taken to hospital for medical treatment.
Among the participants were district police officer Saleem Kulachvi, members of parliament, tribal elders, police officers and people from various walks of life who attended the funeral prayer held in front of Ghazali Public School, Jamurd.
A smart police team saluted and officials put flowers on the coffin and prayed for the departed soul.
