ISLAMABAD: Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed has said that the martyrdom of Hasan Nasrallah, the martyred leader of the Lebanese resistance organization Hezbollah, is the biggest tragedy for the Muslim Ummah in the last 50 years. In a special interview with Samaa, Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed noted that the martyrdom of Hasan Nasrallah is the most significant tragedy for the Muslim Ummah since the martyrdom of King Faisal. He noted that Nasrallah was the only Arab leader to inflict a military defeat on Israel. Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed also mentioned that after the martyrdom of former Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, Iran was deceived under the pretext of a ceasefire and this incident will lead to an increase in Iran’s efforts to develop nuclear weapons. He emphasized that this tragedy exposed the hypocrisy of the West, especially the United States. He further stated that the gap between the West and Muslims has widened as a result of this incident.
