PESHAWAR: The majority of the province’s districts are expected to see extremely cold, partly overcast weather with foggy conditions in plain areas, according to a forecast released on Friday by the Regional Meteorological Center Peshawar.
It stated that the districts of Abbottabad, Upper Dir, Chitral, Shangla, Kohistan, Battagram, Torghar, and Shangla are likely to have isolated showers or light snowfall over the hills.
The center further stated that there is a good chance of light to moderate fog continuing across the districts of Tank, Peshawar, D.I. Khan, Charsadda, Nowshera, Mardan, Swabi, Haripur, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, and Motorway (M1).
Most of the province’s districts experienced extremely cold and dry weather over the past 24 hours, while plain areas saw moderate to dense fog. There was no rainfall reported in the province.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in centigrade at different stations of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were Peshawar 20/03, Chitral 17/-01, Timergara 20/00, Dir 21/-02, Mirkhani 17/-01, Kalam 15/-05, Drosh 16/02, Saidu Sharif 19/00, Pattan 22/12, Malam Jabba 11/01, Takht Bhai 19/01, Kakul 19/01, Balakot 21/01, Parachinar 15/-01, Bannu 21/01, Cherat 17/05, DI Khan City 17/05.
The lowest recorded temperatures in the province were -04°C in the Khyber district’s Tirah valley and -05°C in Kalam.
