SWAT: Mahudand road has been closed for all traffic, on Friday, due to avalanche at Chashm-e-Shifa near Mahudand Lake, a tourist spot in Swat district.
Due to road closure, more than 30 to 35 vehicles are stuck and according to tourist operator Nasrullah Kalami, there are around 100 tourists in these vehicles.
The local people have demanded the government to take immediate steps to remove the snow from the road.
According to Nasrullah Kalami, tourists and local people are forced to travel on foot from Mahudand Lake despite the heavy snowfall and after covering several kilometers they are moving to a safe place by crossing the glacier.
On the other hand, snowfall is continuing for the third consecutive day in Mahudand Lake of Swat, while the mountains of Kalam Valley have also been covered with a white sheet of snow. White pearls (snow) are falling from the sky in Mahudand Lake of Swat Valley and every corner is became white.
The forest has also covered the four sides of the lake with a white blanket.
After which the views have become captivating and the tourists coming from all over the country are enjoying the snowfall.
Tourists are enjoying boating and the beautiful scenery during the snowfall. The views have become more beautiful.
