KARACHI: A team of fifteen women has been announced by the Women’s National Selection Committee, which is headed by Saleem Jaffar, for the forthcoming T20 tri-series between Bangladesh Women U19 and Sri Lanka Women U19. The matches will take place in Cox’s Bazar from January 24 to February 2, 2019.
There will be a final after the double round robin format of the competition. Mahnoor Aftab, an off-spinner, has been named the event’s captain. Her deputy is Laiba Nasir, an all-round batsman.
Mahnoor and Laiba were two of the six players that played for Pakistan in the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa the year before. The other players that played for Pakistan at the World Cup were Zaib-un-Nisa, Anosha Nasir, Eyman Fatima, and Rida Aslam of course.
