In Lower Dir, a coaster driver and conductor charged passengers extra money while they were traveling home for Ramadan. Instead of the official fare of Rs. 650, they asked for Rs. 800 per person. Most of the passengers were poor laborers who could not afford to pay extra.
When the passengers reached Nasafa Talaash, they complained about the unfair charges. Traffic Police Inspector Shad Muhammad Khan and his team took quick action. They stopped the coaster, checked the fares, and made sure that the extra money was returned to the passengers.
Speaking to the media, Inspector Shad Muhammad Khan warned all drivers and conductors to follow the official fare rules. He said that overcharging poor passengers would not be tolerated, and strict action would be taken against those who broke the rules.
People praised Inspector Shad Muhammad Khan for his honesty and quick action. Many passengers and locals thanked him and prayed for his success.
