TALASH: The Lower Dir All Parties Conference rejected the proposed taxes in Malakand Division. Demand for restoration of Dir Motorway, Dir University, and CPEC route. Decision to mobilize the Grand Qaumi Jirga to revive the problems of Lower Dir and the approved mega projects. All parties Conference was organized by Jamiat Ulema Islam Lower Dir at a local hotel in Timergera under the chairmanship of ANP Lower Dir president and former MPA Haji Bahadur Khan. In which a large number of political and social personalities, representatives of all political parties, Chamber of Commerce and business leaders, lawyers’ community, Dir Qaumi Pasoon, Sports Association participated. Muhammad Rahim Haqqani was chosen as the secretary. The participants rejected the proposed taxes in the Malakand division. While the important projects approved by the previous government, like Dir Motorway, Dir University, Tamergarh Sports Complex, Timergara Gravity Scheme, Talash Girls Degree College, Talash status as Tehsil were dropped.They expressed concern over the inordinate delay in construction and functionalization of Talash Bypass Road, Timergara Medical College, Koto Hydel Power Project, demolition of plazas and shops in Timergara Bazar and demanded that the previously approved delay The Motorway, Dir U University, and CPEC route should be restored and the injustice done to the people of Dir Lower District should be stopped and the above mentioned projects should be included in the provincial budget. A Jirga consisting of all political parties was formed for meetings with the provincial and central governments and relevant authorities regarding the problems of Lower Dir in APC. Secretary Javed Akhtar Advocate, President of Anjuman Tajran Timergara Haji Anwaruddin, President of Chamber of Commerce Mian Noor Alam Bacha, Sir Foundation Daim Shah Akhun Khel, Former Director of Agriculture Shafiqur Rehman, Young Doctor Association Lead Assistant Professor Dr. Waqar Alam Kaleemullah Sarhadi of PTI, Malik Shah Naseem of Dir Qaumi Pasoon, President of Contractors Association Ikram Lilla, Journalist Abdullah Madani, Imran Thakur, Muslim Khan of Sports Association, General Secretary of Lawyers Association Mujibur Rahman Advocate and Tehsil Chairman Timergara Mufti Irfanuddin addressed.
