Each society has good and bad people. But existence of any society is linked with presence of good people who love humanity. Such people are not only pride of the said society but entire humanity.
This is the tale of a citizen who along with friends visited a restaurant in a major city to have a meal. He sat on a chair and a middle-aged man along with his elderly wife was also sitting near him.
Meanwhile, a very decent and handsome man entered the hotel and after washing his hands at the washbasin and sat at a table opposite him to him.
The citizen said that we had already ordered for food and were waiting when suddenly mobile phone of the smart youth rang. He received the call and started talking to someone in a slightly louder voice. The attitude of man showed that Allah had blessed him with a big happiness.
After concluding the call, he addressed everyone present there and said loudly, “Respected Ladies and gentlemen! Today I am very happy as Allah has blessed me a son and in this time of happiness, I will serve mutton karahi to all your.”
The citizen told that he went to the seat of the handsome man, congratulated him and said, “Dear brother! We have already ordered our food.” Hearing to this, he said, “Okay, Come on, it’s okay, I’ll pay for your food in this happiness…!” And then he ordered mutton kadhai for everyone else present there, including that old man and his old lady, and after paying everyone’s bill, he had a lunch and left happily.
A few days later, the citizens went to a cinema with his friends, and what did he see? The same man was standing in line for tickets with a five-year-old child. Avoiding his friends’ eyes, he approached the gentle. As soon as he saw him, he recognized the citizen and started smiling.
Anyway, after greetings, he said sarcastically, “Masha Allah! Your son has grown so much in just a few days…!”
After listening to him, the gentleman replied, “Brother! Leave this matter aside, this is a very strange story, I will tell you when we will meet again someday!”
Hearing the response, curiosity of the citizen increased even more and he insisted, “Tell me this strange story right now!” Finally, after what he told the citizen on his insistence, he started to feel ashamed and the gentleman looked as a great person to him.”
He informed the citizen, “On that day, when I entered the restaurant, I went to the washbasin to wash my hands. While washing my hands there, I heard the conversation of the old man and his wife. The old woman was insisting to eat mutton karahi but her husband said in a very depressed tone, “I have only two thousand rupees for the whole month. If we will eat kadhai, how will we survive for the whole month? That’s why, today we should eat dal roti, and we will eat kadhai some other day!”
The gentleman told further, “That is why I had pretended to have a son by ringing the bell on my mobile phone, so that I could do his heartfelt “silent service” under the pretext of my fake happiness!”
The citizen questioned, “So dear brother! You would have paid only to these elders, but you also fed all the other people and paid their bills?”
The great person replied, “I don’t want to hurt the self-respect of these elders by doing this.”
