Pind Dadan Khan: The under-construction Lilla Interchange Dual Carriageway project has fallen victim to a lack of funding. The public is fed up with the false promises of government representatives and is no longer willing to believe any political leader. Influential representatives of Jhelum district had promised to resume work on January 5, 2025, but once again, the promise was not fulfilled.
In 2022, a budget of 13 billion rupees was approved to construct a 128-kilometer road from the Lilla Interchange on the motorway to Dina GT Road in Jhelum. However, the project, which was supposed to be completed in three years, became entangled in politics, and in three years, only 20 kilometers of the road has been completed. Due to the dismantled road, the public and transporters are facing severe difficulties.
The people of NA-61 Jhelum and PP-26 Pind Dadan Khan have become mentally distressed, and businesses have been completely ruined. The entire road has turned into a series of potholes, leaving the public helpless. It has become increasingly difficult for transporters to operate their vehicles.
