The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday dismissed a petition challenging the appointment of Ishaq Dar as Deputy Chief Minister.
According to details, the LHC has rejected the request as “unacceptable”. The petitioner said that there is no post of deputy prime minister in the constitution and Ishaq Dar was appointed as foreign minister.
“Ishaq Dar was unconstitutionally appointed as Deputy Prime Minister,” he said.
Applicant: “The court should declare that the appointment of Ishaq Dar as deputy prime minister has lost its validity.”
Last month, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appointed Ishaq Dar as Deputy Prime Minister.
The appointment was approved through a notification issued by the Cabinet of Ministers.
