Provincial Minister for Auqaf, Zakat, Ushar and Social Welfare of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Syed Qasim Ali Shah has said that Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur is taking steps to spend on humanity in accordance with the vision of founding chairman of PTI Imran Khan. The provincial government has decided to provide interest-free loans of Rs 1 lakh to Rs 5 lakh to give a prominent place in the society and make them independent in the past. A tender has also been floated for the provision of modern electric wheelchairs. The provincial government will also soon inaugurate a scheme to provide a monthly stipend of Rs 5,000 to orphans aged 5 to 16 under the Kafalat program and will provide women with Rs 5,000 in ration under the Sahara program. He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony organized by Social Welfare to distribute checks worth Rs 6.35 million among 635 mentally, physically, hearing, visual and other disabled children, boys and girls of Abbottabad.
Provincial Director Social Welfare Rafiq Khan, District Officer Saira Mushtaq and Muhammad Asif of Sangi Development Foundation also addressed the ceremony. Special people from different areas including Assistant Commissioner Abbottabad Zark Yar Toro, District Officer Peshawar were present on the occasion in large numbers. Provincial Minister for Auqaf, Zakat, Ushar and Social Welfare Syed Qasim Ali Shah said that there are many responsibilities that are not given due attention. After taking charge of the department, after Peshawar and Dera Ismail Khan, checks are being distributed among special people in Abbottabad, but there is a lot of work that needs to be done. The provincial government will provide interest-free loans of Rs 100,000 to Rs 500,000 to special people for business. A tender has also been floated for electric wheelchairs. Efforts are being made to provide all those items that have been lacking in the past. He said that special and disabled people in the society are like diamonds. They need to be cut and made valuable. The provincial minister said that orphan children should be given Rs 5,000 per month under the sponsorship program.
The program, which will be inaugurated soon, will include children from five to 16 years of age. Similarly, women will be provided with up to five thousand rations under the Sahara program. He said that according to Imran Khan’s vision of spending on humanity, the Chief Minister is taking steps and every coming day will be better than the previous one. He assured that the Social Welfare Department is fulfilling its responsibilities. He is determined to provide equal facilities in every district of the province. On this occasion, the Provincial Minister also distributed a check worth Rs 10,000 each among the disabled people and 8 wheelchairs from the Pak Welfare Organization. Earlier, Provincial Director Muhammad Rafique said that the government is taking special people under its responsibility and is trying to provide maximum facilities for them. District Officer Saira Mushtaq also said that the Provincial Minister has played an important role in releasing the fund for the disabled people. The service of these special people is the only thing that can be done, the government has full support in this matter.
