Islamabad: Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan Wada Mitsuhiro praised the services of Komatsu Pakistan Soft (KPS), saying that Komatsu Japan is a world leader in manufacturing and technological innovation for world-class construction equipment. He said, Japan is increasingly recognizing Pakistan as a treasure trove of IT human resources. Japan’s population has been shrinking since 2011, leading to a shortage of 500,000 IT professionals, he said. He said this while addressing the silver jubilee celebrations of Komatsu Pakistan Soft.

Ryo Asahara, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Representative Nakakai Miyata, CEO Pakistan Software Export Council Zeeshan Hatak, Chairman Pakistan IT Industry Association (P@SHA) Zohaib Khan, General Secretary P@SHA Nadeem Malik, secretary Ministry of Information Technology Addl Aisha Humera Chaudhary and other prominent representatives of the IT industry attended the event.

Japanese Ambassador to Pakistan Wada Mitsuhiro congratulated Komatsu Pakistan Soft (KPS) on its 25th anniversary and said he was happy to be a part of this special event. He shared his message to all Pakistanis. Komatsu was founded in 1921, began international expansion in the 1950s, and now has offices in 150 countries, he said.
The Ambassador said that Komatsu is celebrating its centenary in 2021 and moving forward to the next 100 years. He said, Japanese HR companies are active in Pakistan with the Department of IT and Telecommunications, Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) and JICA working together to create a network connecting Pakistani IT HR and Japanese companies.
