Muzaffarabad: Refugees in Jammu and Kashmir have asked the UN Security Council 1989 to play for the implementation of the right to self-determination in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to details, an important meeting of 1989 of the leaders of the Jammu and Kashmir refugee center was held in the capital, where the president of all the refugee regions, Amer Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, was present.
They announced that a rally would be held on Sunday, May 26, against the Indian military occupation. The people of Kashmir have no choice but to fight against India.
Addressing the meeting, Uzair said that the people of Kashmir are fighting for their freedom and their right to self-determination in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions.
In a meeting in India, he admitted that the Islamic State used imperialist tactics by killing masses of young people, enslaving the people of Kashmir and destroying their identity.
“India is conspiring to cause unrest in the entire region by taking action against the Security Council resolution on the Kashmir issue,” he said.
He said that the people of Kashmir have created an everlasting history of sacrifice for freedom.
Ghazali said that for lasting peace in South Asia, the Kashmir issue should be resolved according to the wishes of the people of Kashmir.
Describing the most important relationship for the safe future of millions of Muslims in the region, he said the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, had declared Kashmir as the aorta of Pakistan and Syed Ali Gillani had declared it.
He said that thousands of Kashmiri journalists, human rights activists, scholars, Mussarat Alam Butt, Inasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Asia Andrabi were detained in Indian jails for demanding freedom and civil rights.
Uzair said that the refugees of Kashmir 1989 had an important role and said that regardless of the situation, the refugees cannot compromise the national liberation struggle.
He invited the citizens of the capital to participate in the rally held at Burhan Wani Shahid Chowk on Sunday, May 26, and drew the attention of the world conscience.
He also asked the government of Azad Kashmir to take a clear decision in accordance with the Refugee Charter.
Raja Muhammad Arif Khan, Qari Bilal Ahmad Farooq and other speakers also addressed the meeting.
The speaker paid tribute to Mirwaiz Maulvi Muhammad Farooq, Maqbool Butt, Afzal Guru, Abdul Ghani Lone, Sheikh Abdul Aziz, Muhammad Ashraf Khan Sehrai, Burhan Muzaffar Wani, Dr Sabzar and the martyrs of Kashmir’s freedom movement.
