SWAT: A 10-member Joint Investigation Team (JIT) was formed under the leadership of SP Investigation Swat Badshah Hazrat Khan for the Madyan incident here in Swat district on June 20. While Additional IG KP Special Branch Kashif Alam and Additional IG KP Investigation wing Alam Shinwari also visted Swat for Inquiry.
According to details ,the June 20 blasphemy incident in Swat’s Madyan area, two separate FIRs have been registered at the Madyan police station and SP Investigation Swat Badshah Hazrat Khan has been launched to probe the tragic incident. A Joint Investigation Team (JIT) has also been formed under his leadership.
Apart from police investigation officers, special branch, CTD, district security branch, IB and IT experts have also been included in the JIT.
SP Investigation Badshah Hazrat Khan said in this regard that the JIT is examining the case on a modern scientific basis and the statements of various people are also being recorded in this regard so that the real facts can be brought out.
On the other hand, on the special instructions of Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Akhtar Hayat Khan, Additional IG Special Branch Kashif Alam and Additional IG Investigation Alam Shinwari also visited Swat on Saturday and they gave detailed information about the incident site including the relevant hotel and police station. On this occasion, DPO Swat Dr. Zahidullah and SP Investigation Badshah Hazrat Khan gave them a detailed briefing regarding the incident and subsequent developments.
The heads of the second police departments recorded the statements of various people in this regard and went back to Peshawar after compiling a report. This report will be submitted to IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Akhtar Hayat Khan. After which they will send this report to the provincial and federal governments.
Apart from this, the alleged desecration of the Holy Quran was done in the hotel. The statement of the owner of this hotel has also come out. Ahmed Ali, the owner of the hotel, said that he was outside the hotel at the time of the tragedy. However, the guests in the hotel saw the alleged insolent Muhammad Sulaiman throwing the papers out of the holy Quran by desecrating it. On which the police were informed and the accused was taken to the police.
He further said that the police have also collected the evidence from the room of the accused in the hotel.
Meanwhile, Yasir, the active youngster of this incident, also said in his statement on social media that he informed the police and after that he made announcements through the loudspeaker on the motorcycle and only after that the mob together, the insolent was brought to his end.
On the other hand, after the Madyan tragedy, the situation is normal and a large number of tourists are still visiting Madyan, Bahrain and Kalam Valley.
