TALASH: Jamaat-e-Islami staged a 3-hour protest dharna at Timergara Shaheed Chowk, the district headquarters of Lower Dir, on the call of Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeemur Rehman against inflation, taxes and the increase in electricity prices. In which a large number of people participated. Addressing the dharna, Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Lower Dir Aizazul Mulk Afkari, Naib Amir Arshad Zaman, Sultanate Yar Advocate, Anjuman Tajran Timergara President Haji Anwaruddin, Najmullah, Haji Shad Nawaz Khan and others said that the country is currently in a political and economic crisis and in the grip of severe inflation. Billions of rupees were looted as a result of the IPPs agreements of the rulers. And by putting the burden on the people and businessmen, their blood was squeezed. He said that the people cannot afford to pay taxes and heavy bills in the electricity bills. He further said that the government should implement the agreement made with Hafuz Naeemur Rehman and reduce the electricity prices immediately. Otherwise, on the call of Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, the public will not file electricity bills by starting civil disobedience. He said that the people voted PTI in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but the provincial government did not bring any mega project plan in the province and especially in Lower Dir. And the resources of the province are being spent on sit-ins for the release of Imran Khan.He said that instead of the development of the province and solving the problems of the people, PTI has focused on the release of Imran Khan. He warned that if the government does not immediately reduce the electricity prices, then the patience of the people will run out and they will invade Islamabad and round the sack of the rulers
