Islamabad: The Embassy of Italy in Islamabad organized a reception for the 78th National Day of Italy to recognize the strategic importance of Pakistan and pledge to strengthen bilateral cooperation across various sectors during his tenure. The event was moderated by Italian Ambassador to Pakistan H.E. Ambassador Marilina Armellin.
Federal Housing Minister Riaz Hussain Pirzada was the chief guest at the ceremony and Senator Sherry Rehman was also the honouree. The ceremony was attended by officials, the business community, representatives of the diplomatic corps and representatives of the media, who attended the event in large numbers.

Initiatives such as the Program for Poverty Reduction through Rural Development demonstrate Italy’s commitment to supporting Pakistan’s socio-economic progress and supporting the emerging agricultural sector.
