LAHORE: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that the government will eradicate mafia agents from the passport office.
During his visit to the National Database and Registration Agency (NADRA), Zar Shahid Road, Lahore, the minister directed the staff of the center to improve sanitation measures.
The minister also inquired about issues related to the issuance of national identity cards and other documents required by visitors at the center.
He was interested in the process of getting the documents and ordered the officials to resolve the public issues quickly. He also reviewed the facilities available to visitors at the centre.
He said there were no mafia agents in the NADRA office and said action would be taken against such elements in the passport office.
The Minister said that he visited the NADRA office to find common problems and resolve them at the earliest. He said efforts were being made to release the documents to the public immediately.
