Now a days Pakistan needs interfaith harmony than ever because the resent event in the district Kurram of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is very alarming for the nation. If this sectarian anarchy could spread in other districts of the province and Panjab, as well then it will be very hard to control that dilemma in the future. According to the media reports after the ceasefire between the rival tribes living in border areas of KPK, the situations is now looking in the control but now there is a need of the government writ to tackle the culprits in the affected area. The provincial government is hopeful that soon with the help of regional “Jirga” elders the long lasted peace should be maintain in the area.
Few days ago the chief minister Khyber Ali Amin Gandapur expresses that, provincial government is very keen about the sectarian violence, that is why any culprit who will be involve in the ferocity will put in the schedule four of the law. It’s very good that the provincial government serious to establishing its write in the area but, there is a need of establishing liazan amongst the federal and provincial governments to calm the situation between the two rival tribes with the help of political and religious leader of the area and the province.
On Thursday the governor Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Faisal karim Kundi holds the all party conference in the governor house in which no representative from KP, government was present because Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf had boycotted that conference- the critics narrates that- it is not good for a political party to boycott form such an activity of interfaith harmony.
According to the media reports the All Parties Conference (APC) on Thursday blamed the Centre and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government for deteriorating law and order situation in the province, describing it as “dangerous”. The APC issued a declaration after holding a meeting which was attended by 16 parties under the chairmanship KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi at his official residence. In a declaration, the APC noted a steep rise in violence compared to last year, with over 70 security personnel were martyred in the past month alone.
The APC highlighted over 200 fatalities in Kurram unrest this year, blaming ineffective governance at both federal and provincial levels. It also called for immediate measures, including the release of funds allocated for tribal districts under the National Finance Commission (NFC) award, which has been inactive for more than two years. Expressing concern over the alarming law and order situation, the declaration said that 3% of the amount allocated for the former Federally Administered Tribal Area (FATA) has not been released in five years, demanding the due amount should be released.
KP Governor Kundi addressed the APC, highlighting the dire situation in the province. Kundi, who is a Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader, emphasized that almost 99% of political parties had gathered at the APC to send a strong message to the federal government and the world about the unity of KP’s political leadership. He criticized both the provincial and federal governments for failing to maintain law and order, saying: “Are we to leave the province at the mercy of terrorists? This cannot continue.” Kundi pointed to over 200 lives lost in Kurram this year, and demanded a federal commitment to establishing peace.
Apart from the APC, it’s the duty of every political party to play its role in the peacemaking to side line the differences because this is the matter of humanity. Special it is mandate of both the provincial and federal governments to stabilize its writ in the sectarian areas like Kurram but its look impossible in the presence of political instability in amongst the ruling and opposition parties. Thus the rulers of the country must make a simple and durable plan to ends the sectarian problems of the region in the first priority because it’s more dangerous than the terrorism.
