Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar says that fake news is a big challenge globally and there is a need to come up with a code of conduct to check the problem. He spoke to British High Commission political adviser Zoe Ware, who called him.
Matters related to bilateral cooperation in various fields including media, film and drama were discussed.
The minister called on the journalistic community to verify the credibility of news, especially on social networks, before spreading it.
Speaking on the occasion, the Political Adviser of the British High Commission congratulated Attaullah Tarar on assuming the office of Information and Broadcasting Minister and assured her of full cooperation in promoting Pak-UK relations in various fields.
