Islamabad:- Islamabad High Court on Wednesday ordered concerned authorities to transfer PTI founder Bushra Bibi’s wife from Bani Gala to Adiala Jail.
Bushra Bibi is serving her sentence at PTI founder Bani Gala, which has been declared a mini-prison after being convicted in the Toshakhana reference and adultery case.
Islamabad High Court Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb pronounced the reserved verdict. The court quashed the notice issued in this regard.
Last week, the court reserved its verdict on Bushra Bibi’s plea challenging her detention in Bana Gala jail instead of Adiala jail.
The court issued its decision after hearing arguments from both sides. The prison authorities took this stand in court that security and shelter fears forced them to declare Bani Qala as a prison.
Separately, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) will today (Wednesday) hear PTI founder and Bushra Bibi’s plea challenging the NAB summons notice in the fresh Toshakhana gift case.
The IHC today fixed the hearing of PTI founder and his wife Bushra Bibi’s petition filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the recent court related to the Toshakhana gift.
