ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has allowed Firdousi Shamim Naqvi, a member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) core committee, to meet the founder of PTI in Adiala Jail.
Justice Samman Riffat Imtiaz on Monday heard the plea of Firdous Shamim seeking permission to meet the PTI founder.
Defense counsel Babar Awan argued before the court that Firdous Shamim, who is a member of PTI’s central committee, was deliberately not allowed to meet the PTI founder by the jail administration.
Assistant Attorney General Imran Farooq responded that the PTI founder had urged the jail administration to deal with his focal person regarding holding his meetings in jail.
Subsequently, the court sought the legal status of the central person and granted Firdousi Shamim permission to meet the PTI founder
