Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Mirat Ali Shah on Wednesday said that IDEAS is a common platform for global peace, stability and prosperity.

Methods of the 12th edition of the International Defense Exhibition and Seminar; IDEAS 2024 was discussed.
Mirat Shah said that IDEAS 2024 is scheduled from 19 to 22 November 2024 at Karachi Exhibition Centre. “Having these 12 editions for innovation and excellence is truly a testament to our promise to drive technological progress,” he said, adding, “This edition of IDEAS will pave the way for Pakistan’s strategic engagement and development with the international community.”
The CM said preparations for this important event have already started at the national level in coordination with all relevant stakeholders. “Today’s meeting is to give more impetus to this activity,” he said and reiterated the support and cooperation of the Sindh government for the successful implementation of this mega-national event.
Shah said the International Defense Exhibition and Seminar is a biennial mega event organized by the Defense Export Promotion Organization (DEPO). “Since the beginning of 2000, IDEAS has emerged as an international collaboration of defense manufacturers, entrepreneurs, research experts and high-level policy makers,” he said.
The CM said that the international recognition and participation of IDEAS truly reflects the deep and mutually beneficial relationship with the international fraternity. He said that IDEAS is essentially a common platform for global peace, stability and prosperity. “On the other hand, IDEAS is an event that provides ample opportunity for business exchange between Pakistan and abroad among delegates, trade visitors, defense personnel and manufacturers,” he said. Director General of DEPO Major General Asad Nawaz said that according to the tradition of the event, several exciting events will be held which include world defense technology demonstrations, international seminars and business expansion through B2B/B2G plans. He said that the Karachi Exhibition will be held on November 21, 2024 at Sea View (Nishan-e-Pakistan) only for the people of the city.
