To promote Pakistan’s defense industry on an international level, the Ministry of Defence and the Defence Export Promotion Organization (DEPO) organize an international defense exhibition and seminar every two years in Karachi.
This seminar serves as the premier forum for the global defense industry to showcase, sell, collaborate on joint projects, outsource, and engage in technical cooperation within the Asian defense market. Defense production and exports are key priority sectors for the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
The 12th edition of IDEAS 2024 will be held at the Karachi Expo Center from November 19 to 22. The exhibition will feature a wide range of modern and conventional defense equipment, weapon systems, and vehicles.
Local and international delegates, security analysts, exhibitors, and high-level policymakers will participate in the exhibition.
The exhibition aims to highlight that while Pakistan desires peace and prosperity, it is not behind any nation in terms of its defense capabilities on the international stage.
In the previous 11th edition of IDEAS, 532 companies from 38 different countries participated.
