According to details, on the special instructions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police is using all available resources to ensure peace and tranquility in the federal capital, a public relations officer said.
He said that the police of the capital, Islamabad, regularly ensure data registration, identification documents, and effective searches of citizens entering the high-security zone.
Over the past week, police in the capital city of Islamabad have removed tinted windows from 931 vehicles and incorrect registration plates from 180 vehicles.
Strict instructions have been issued to the policemen and officials who are performing their duties at the checkpoints in the high-security zone to perform their duties with full responsibility. The protection of important public and private property and embassies located in the high-security zone is of paramount importance.
In addition, police officials were ordered to ensure data entry of all citizens entering the high-security zone, thoroughly check identification documents, search all suspicious vehicles, and adopt a positive attitude towards the public.
Citizens are also requested to cooperate with the Islamabad Capital Police and report any suspicious activity on the emergency line “Pucar-15” or the ICT-15 application.
