SWAT: At least 6 children killed in landslides and other incidents in Swat district due to heavy rains. According to details, a house in the Pishtunai area of Matta Tehsil has collapsed during the recent heavy rains in Swat. As a result, the room collapsed and two cousins, twelve-year-old Majeedullah and fifteen-year-old Asmatullah, were buried under the rubble. They were brought out unconscious but later died at Matta Hospital.
Similarly, Noor Muhammad’s two sons, seven-year-old Ashfaq and fourteen-year-old Rafaaq, were struck by lightning in the forest of Kasoona Lebak Miandam. Rafaaq was injured when Ashfaq’s body was found.
Also, the two young sons of Akbar Zada, sixteen-year-old Waqas and fourteen-year-old Junaid Manglawar, who lived in the room, were buried under the dust after they slipped inside Manglawar’s house in the Shaldara area.
Similarly, an eight-year-old boy named Hashar, son of Batela resident Afzal Hussain, who had come to his father’s house in Ahtarabad, Mingora region, fell into a water hole and was swept away. His body was found the next day in the Swat River at a depot near Landakai. Officials confirmed.
