TALASH:Heavy hailstorm and torrential rain completely destroyed gardens full of tomatoes, due to which farmers and landowners lost crores of rupees.
People appealed to the government for cooperation.
Sudden heavy hailstorm and torrential rain started in the four union councils of Noorakhel, Shahikhel, Doshkhel and Banda Gayi of Talash Valley, due to which the gardens full of tomatoes were completely destroyed. Due to which the farmers, landlords lost crores of rupees. Apart from tomatoes, other crops and orchards have also suffered a lot of damage. Due to the rain, innumerable pastures and birds also became mortified. The hard work and hopes of the poor farmers were watered down throughout the year. Tomato gardens were planted on most of the lands of the four union councils of Wadi Talash. The livelihood of most of the people depends on farming and especially tomato plantations, which unfortunately became the sight of hailstorms. The affected poor peasants, farmers, zamindars and farmers have appealed to the district government to conduct a timely survey and to declare the area as a calamity and to help the provincial and central government.
