Islamabad: Federal Information Minister Ata Tarar announced that health insurance will be provided to 5000 journalists in the first phase.
Addressing the media at the Press Club, Tarar said that the government is committed to the welfare of journalists. He said it is necessary to work together to serve the country. It also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to free speech by curbing misinformation.
Tarar said everyone should play a role to stop fraud. He said that a long meeting with reporters would be held soon, and that the door was always open.
In addition, Ata Tarar said that the government guarantees a minimum wage of $37,000.
