Islamabad: The Federal Ministry of Education and Vocational Training has taken a major initiative to address the issue of transportation for female students and female teachers of regional schools in the capital Islamabad.
According to the details, about 20 buses of federal educational institutions will be prepared and put on the road with the support of the district administration. This women’s special bus will be available in pink color.
The Federal Ministry of Education has taken this step while speaking to the mediapersons, the Education Secretary said, due to lack of transportation facilities, school attendance of girls is decreasing.
The internal audit also found that thirty percent of the total 385 buses in federal educational institutions were parked due to non-use.
According to the Secretary of Education, these buses are not used due to lack of budget and drivers and lack of proper maintenance.
He further informed that these buses will be ready on June 15 and will start providing services to girl students and teachers.
