ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said on Friday that the government will launch a joint operation to eliminate terrorists permanently in Katcha area.
He said that modern technology, including drones, would be used for joint operations in the Katcha area.
Mohsin Naqvi said that all security agencies, including the police, should ensure full implementation of SOPs to protect Chinese citizens in Pakistan.
Presiding over a meeting to review the implementation of the National Action Plan at the NACTA headquarters in Islamabad, he said that failure in this matter would not be tolerated.
Naqvi said strict action would be taken for failure to implement SOPs to protect foreigners.
“We need to equip our units with modern technology to eradicate terrorism,” the interior minister said. He said the federation will support the province as much as possible in this regard.
Naqvi said that anti-state elements will be eliminated once and for all from Katcha area. Expressing his satisfaction with the operation against drug trafficking, the Home Minister said that all departments should take strict legal action against smugglers.
