Islamabad: The federal government led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday decided to formulate a national registration policy with the consent of all provinces to ensure transparency and registration of wrongful citizenship.
The decision was taken in a review meeting on NADRA chaired by Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi.
In the meeting, the interior minister stressed the importance of validating identity and citizenship cards and stressed the importance of consensus among all provinces in this regard.
He said that the Union Council is the basis for this work and it is important to enter the NADRA centre.

The meeting reviewed plans to increase the number of NADRA centers in six major cities including Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Multan.
Minister Naqvi also directed to implement plans in the coming days to save people from unnecessary hassle and rush.
