SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: Government teachers assaulted journalist in Wana. WUJ condemned.
Wana Union of Journalists (WUJ ) President Zafar Wazir, Chairman Adam Khan Wazir and other cabinet members issued a statement condemning the assault against the journalist on Saturday.
Cabinet members said issued In statement that the violence and assault of journalist (station manager of FM Suno Radio Wana) Waseem Wazir by Meraj Wazir, teacher of Science Management College, Wana and his sons in Wana Bazar district of Lower South Waziristan is not only deplorable and rather, it is a shameful act.
Wana Union of Journalists President Zafar Wazir, Chairman Adam Khan Wazir and other cabinet members demanded immediate action from the provincial government, district administration and police against those involved.
It should be noted that journalist Waseem Wazir conducted an awareness campaign and detailed report regarding cheating in matriculation examinations continue under the Dera Board.
Due to which teacher Meraj Wazir and his sons tortured and assaulted journalist Waseem Wazir.
Local journalists once again demanded that the provincial government, Information Advisor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, district administration and police take immediate notice of this incident and take action against those who tortured and assaulted journalist Waseem Wazir.
WUJ members said those involved should be arrested and punished according to law.
