PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Faisal Karim Kundi has said that cooperation will be extended to non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that are trying to end unemployment through the provision of technical education.
He said this during his visit to the headquarters of German organization GIZ here on Thursday. Provincial Assembly Member Ahmad Karim Kundi was also present.
During the visit, the Governor was informed about the working and operational matters of GIZ and the programs going on in the organization.
The Governor visited various sections of GIZ and emphasized the introduction of training programs that are compatible with the needs of international and domestic markets, adding that the selection of courses should also be consulted with the overseas ministry.
He said that we should also prepare the youth to work and use the potential in Germany. He also lauded the targeted programs for women and said the implications would be far-reaching and beneficial. He also suggested setting up institutes of excellence in the backward areas of the province and producing results.
On this occasion, the governor was informed about job opportunities in Germany and it was agreed to launch an information campaign with the support of the governor’s house. The governor was also informed that GIZ has been working for several years to empower the youth through training programs conducted by competent and trained professionals. The KP Governor also discussed various youth development plans and suggested suggestions to empower the young generation through various technical programmes.
