KARACHI: Sindh Governor Mohammed Kamran Khan Tessori has awarded honorary doctorates to several eminent personalities for their outstanding contribution to successful diplomacy and promotion of international relations. Consul General of Iran Hassan Nourian and Consul General of Bahrain Abdullah Ahmed Buqhous were among the recipients, a statement from the House of Governors said on Sunday. Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori appreciated the unflinching efforts of these individuals in promoting diplomacy and development while addressing a special convocation of Jinnah University for Women, Karachi held at the Governor House. Emphasizing that encouraging those who serve the nation is essential to inspire others to follow suit, he said active participation in all sectors is the key to national progress. Tessori congratulated the honorary doctorates which also included Farhan Hanif, Arshad Wali Muhammad, Mrs Akram Khatoon, Haji Hanif Tayyab and Syed Nadeem Raza Sarwar for their remarkable achievements in various fields. He praised their extraordinary efforts in strengthening international relations, successful diplomacy and development management, saying that their unwavering commitment deserves great praise. He further emphasized that these individuals not only promoted national unity through their exemplary service but also promoted a vision of national progress. Their efforts to promote dialogue, resolve conflicts and address global challenges have set remarkable standards. Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori concluded by saying that the conferment of honorary doctorates is a reflection of their past achievements and the values they represent.
