DUBAI: The UAE has reduced the processing time for obtaining work permits and residence visas from 30 days to five days in the second phase of its work package platform.
The new initiative will make it easier for employers and private companies to hire new employees and renew work permits for existing employees.
According to Khaleej Times, the second phase of the Work Package will cover around 600,000 companies and more than seven million workers.
MoHRE said the third phase would include domestic workers.
Companies and employees can only access the Work Bundle on the website (workinuae.ae) for now, but a mobile app will be available soon.
