Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Monday said the government is “unable” to compete with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the political arena.
Reacting to the government’s decision to ban PTI, CM Gandapur taunted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif by saying, “The government is afraid of its exit from power; therefore issues a statement; like the PTI ban.”
Despite all the tactics, the government had to face the music,” he said.
Information Minister Attaullah Tarar announced this at a press conference on Monday. The minister said that the country has been “toying” with many and if there is to be any development in the country, Pakistan and PTI cannot co-exist.
“Based on the evidence, the government will seek ban on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI),” Tarar said, adding that the federal government has decided to ban the party and move the Supreme Court for it.
