KHYBER: Free books were provided to government-run schools in Jamrud tehsil of district Khyber.
In this connection a gathering was organized in Elementary College, Jamrud on Wednesday in which Member National Assembly(MNA)Iqbal Afridi was the chief guest on the occasion.
District Education Officer (DEO) Muhammad Uzair, Assistant EDO Abdunawaz Khan, Principal of Elementary Collage and others were among the participants.
Speaking on the occasion MNA Iqbal Afridi said that on time provision of books to the learners of the state-run educational institutions was to save the precious time of students.
The schools that have not received free books so far should contact the education officer, Jamrud, he remarked.
The parliamentary urged the education officer to initiate immediate steps to supply free books to all state-run schools across the district.
