Under the supervision of Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Babar Saleem Swati, and in consultation with Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and YPF Chairperson MNA Syeda Nosheen Iftikhar, the first Young Parliamentarians Forum (YPF) elections were held today at the Assembly Secretariat.
Candidates submitted their nomination papers, and by consensus, Mian Muhammad Umar Kakakhel was elected unopposed as the President. Similarly, MPA Dr. Muhammad Israr was elected as General Secretary, Muhammad Riaz as Joint Secretary, Ubaid Rehman as Information Secretary, and Nisar Baz as Treasurer.
Speaker Babar Saleem Swati congratulated the newly elected YPF cabinet. Speaking on the occasion, he stated that the establishment of YPF is a significant step towards empowering young leaders and enhancing their role in shaping the future of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He emphasized that the inclusion of young parliamentarians will improve the Assembly’s performance and better address the issues faced by the youth.
The Speaker further added that the formation of YPF will provide young leaders with opportunities to showcase their talents and contribute to the country’s development. He expressed hope that the newly elected cabinet will fulfill their responsibilities diligently and take effective measures to resolve the issues of the youth.
